LJ HOLMES PRESENTS: MIDNIGHT FIND

Anyone who has ever stepped into the

love pool and had their

heart handed back to them on a

silver platter or a

text messages, knows what I'm

talking about.

I lived my life

close to the chest. I had more important things to devote my time to, like

building my career.

But everyone, I guess, reaches a

point where they begin

wondering what would it be like to not come home to an

empty house? What would it be like to

wake up to a warm,

loving body next to them? What would it be like to

snuggle up before a

crackling fire with someone other than your

Excel spreadsheets or statements from your personality

challenged accountant?

That's how I ended up flopping around in the

taffeta suit at the

altar before the sundry waiting for the

groom to arrive.

You guessed it, he didn't!

So much for wondering. I now know how it feels to be

humiliated and for what, the chance to get my soul in a dither? Give me

business intrigue any day.

I am SO

with

 I don't need anyone to

stick me with a fork.

My name is Tina, and I am going to

throw myself into Vegas life and then I'm heading

home, alone but all the

wiser. Love, you'd better not try to

fool me again, cause I so ain't having it!

Solitude may not be all it's cracked up to be, but it's at least

Why,

I can't help

wondering, is it

hubris to thumb my nose at the

capricious Fates? Think they'll let me

slide? Or am I about to have

love thrown at me yet again? God

I hope not!

You had me at "hubris to thumb my nose at the capricious Fates?" Who needs graphics with words like that? But I do so love your book cover trailers..always a delight. Christine, this sounds like a must-read for me. Congrats!

Wow Chris! This sounds exciting. I've heard the rumblings of this one but Lin has brought it beautifully to life. She does have that magical touch, doesn't she? Amazing.

Now I think I might need to put this on my TBR list.

Now if we can see about nominating Lin's trailers for an award...

I am so in awe of all of you. Chris, my beautiful friend...I just took your story and let the reader of my little trailer know how poor Tina feels at the very beginning of your story...and YES, most assuredly your words can and do live up to anything I can come up with.

JQ...once upon a time I was accused of sounding British. Since I was born in Pennsylvania and never left the Country, that's curious, but I do love the language's ability to paint living pictures with words. I'm glad you liked my combination of them.

Lionmother...the minute I saw the heartshaped pool I knew it was right for Chris' trailer. Glad it worked.

Emily and Nancy you know I love you both, and am looking forward to working on YOUR next project.

Karen...great praise from the creator of avatars. You all fill my heart with joy and that is more than I can begin to express, even with the pain of the English word.
